Residentzy is a residential management platform operated by Rededi Inc., based in the Dominican Republic. Our platform is available at residentzy.com and as a mobile app for iOS and Android.

We act as the data controller for personal data collected through the platform. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at info@rededi.com.

2. Data we collect

2.1 Data you provide directly

  • Identity data: first name, last name, profile photo, ID or passport number (if applicable).
  • Contact data: email address, phone/WhatsApp number.
  • Residential data: unit number, community name, the residential you belong to.
  • Visitor data: name and ID of visitors you register.
  • Payment data: information needed to process transactions (handled securely through Stripe; we never store card numbers).
  • Requests & messages: content of maintenance requests, contact form messages, and incident reports.
  • Booking data: reserved spaces, dates, and time slots.

2.2 Data collected automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, actions taken within the platform.
  • Device data: device type, operating system, browser, IP address.
  • Access logs: login date and time, IP address.
  • Notification tokens: device identifiers for push notifications (if you enable them).
  • Cookies & local storage: language and theme preferences, user session.
We never collect credit card data directly. All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI DSS certified provider.

3. How we use your data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Service delivery: create and manage your account, verify your identity, and provide access to platform features.
  • Access control: manage visitor passes, access codes, and entry/exit logs for your community.
  • Payment management: process maintenance fees, rent, and subscriptions. Generate and send invoices.
  • Communications: send push notifications and transactional emails about your account, payments, access, and community announcements.
  • Support: respond to maintenance requests, reports, and incidents.
  • Security: detect and prevent unauthorized access, fraud, or malicious activity.
  • Service improvement: analyze platform usage to enhance the user experience.
  • Legal compliance: fulfill applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties or use it for third-party advertising.

To operate the platform we work with trusted service providers who may access certain personal data solely to perform their functions:

We only share the data strictly necessary for each provider to perform their role. All providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and not use it for their own purposes.

6. Data retention

We retain your profile and residential data for as long as your account is active on our platform. If you choose to delete your account, we will remove your personal data in accordance with our internal policies.

7. Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure, including:

  • Encryption in transit via TLS/HTTPS for all communications.
  • Passwords stored with cryptographic hashing (never in plain text).
  • Access restricted by roles and permissions within the platform.
  • Infrastructure hosted on secure servers with regular backups.
  • Payments processed by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified provider.

Request a copy of the data we hold about you.

Rectification

Correct inaccurate or incomplete data from your profile or by contacting us.

Erasure

Request deletion of your account and personal data.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@rededi.com with the subject "My data rights". We will respond within 30 days.

9. Cookies & similar technologies

We use the following local storage technologies:

  • Session cookies: to keep you authenticated while using the platform. Deleted on logout or when the browser is closed.
  • localStorage: we save your language (rz_lang) and theme (rz_theme) preferences to personalize your experience.
  • Server session cookies: used to securely maintain your user session.

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can clear cookies and local data from your browser settings at any time.

10. Push notifications

With your consent, we send push notifications to your mobile device or browser to inform you about:

  • Visitor access requests.
  • Pending payments and invoices.
  • Community announcements and alerts.
  • Maintenance request updates.

You can disable push notifications at any time from your profile settings in the app or from your device's notification settings. Disabling them does not affect the rest of the platform.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

If the changes are significant, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the platform before they take effect. Continued use of Residentzy after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
